What about vacation Time when he went to salary after working in a company for 3 years?
I live in Alberta, and I work at my job for 3 and ½ years, and this time I was an hourly employee. I took a holiday with pay payment holiday, and then informed me that my salary was changing. Received a call From my accountant says I can not take vacation until September 27, 2008 (One year from now, so a year without holidays) because I must be in a year's salary before the win. Is this correct? Well I was there in the same position for 3 years? After reading an answer, I should add that the last vacation I took was 5 days, and the only vacation I took this when we are allowed 2 weeks.
If this company was the only source of Income for 3 years and provide the tools and the management of their activities and their time, then you are an employee and must be treated as such. It is a description of Federal CRA. Does Your employer mandate EI, CPP and taxes in his name? In both cases you should leave before negotiations to sign the new agreement. According to the Employment Standards Alberta is entitled to 2 weeks paid vacation each year. See the link below.
